Axles and shafts

We manufacture axles and shafts according to customer needs and requirements. We make according to the sample, technical documentation or your needs, or our suggestions. What is most common in all types of machines and in general in machine production is the production of axles and shafts. Shafts and axles are similar in shape, but differ significantly in function and purpose.

The axles can be fixed in their supports or can be rotated together with the rotating parts (rotating axles). The cross section of the axles is loaded, bending, shear and sometimes axial forces occur. However, bending is dominant, so it is most often relevant for dimensioning the cross section of the axles. They do not transmit power or torque.

The shafts serve as carriers for torque transmission elements such as couplings, pulleys, belts, sprockets and various gears. The main difference between the shaft and the axles is that they are loaded with torsions, so the shaft transmits power, and the axles only rotate.
